Opposition secures landslide victory in Hungary

BUDPEST, 13th April, 2026 (WAM) -- Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary conceded defeat on Sunday as the opposition Tisza party, led by Peter Magyar, swept to a historic parliamentary majority.

Final turnout reached a record 78%, the highest since Hungary's transition to democracy.
