TEHRAN -- Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday denied that there has been "a preliminary agreement" in ongoing Vienna talks over the revival of the Iranian 2015 nuclear deal, which is commonly known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

"There is no such a thing as a preliminary agreement, and no agreement will reach unless all conditions are met," Saeed Khatibzadeh, the spokesman of the ministry, made the remarks in his weekly press conference. (Iran-Vienna-JCPOA)

GAZA -- At least four Palestinians were killed and 10 others injured on Monday in a series of fresh intensive Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, medical sources and eyewitnesses said.

The sources said Israeli fighter jets struck the roof of a nine-floor building in the center of Gaza city, killing two people, including a man and an 11-year-old girl, and injuring five others in the building. (Gaza-Israeli Airstrikes-Deaths)

JERUSALEM -- Israel assassinated on Monday a senior militant commander in the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces said, triggering a fresh barrage of rockets on Israeli cities.

Israel's Shin Bet security service and the military said in a joint statement that warplanes struck and killed Hasam Abu Harbid, commander of the Northern Division of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, a militant group in Gaza that has been fighting alongside Hamas in the recent escalation. ANKARA -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday condemned his U.S. counterpart Joe Biden for approval of arms sales to Israel.

The U.S. president was "writing history with bloody hands in this incident where Gaza was attacked disproportionately," Erdogan said at a press conference elaborating on recent clashes between Israelis and Palestinians. (Turkey-Israel-US Arms Sales)
